Important legal agreements required the attestation of witnesses, as in the case of the purchase of property, or a betrothal ( Ruth 4:1-11, where we are told that the ancient form of attestation was by a man drawing off his shoe and giving it to his neighbor). The main use of the word is forensic, and from this use all other applications are naturally derived. the heap of stones testifying to the covenant between Jacob and Laban ( Genesis 31:44-54), and the So of Moses. Wit'-nes (nouns `edh, and `edhah, and verb `anah martus, with all derivative words and their compounds): The word "witness" is used of inanimate things, e.g. ( Numbers 9:15 2 Chronicles 24:6, the Revised Version (British and American) "the tent of the testimony"). International Standard Bible Encyclopedia FALSE SWEARING FALSE WITNESS Hence it is that the use of the ecclesiastical term ("martyr." the Greek word for "witness," has arisen. In the New Testament the original notion of a witness is exhibited in the special form of one who attests his belief in the gospel by personal suffering. According to Josephus, women and slaves were not admitted to bear testimony. In case of an animal left in charge and torn by wild beasts, the keeper was to bring the carcass in proof of the fact and disproof of his own criminality. The witnesses were the first executioners.Slanderous reports and officious witness are discouraged.False witness was punished with the penalty due to the offence which it sought to establish. The witness who withheld the truth was censured. In the case of the suspected wife, evidence besides the husband's was desired. Two witnesses at least are required to establish any charge.Among special provisions with respect to evidence are the following: ( Isaiah 8:16 Jeremiah 32:10-16) On the whole the law was very careful to provide and enforce evidence for all its infractions and all transactions bearing on them. ( 24:1,3) In civil contracts, at least in later times documentary evidence was required and carefully preserved. Divorce was to be proved by a written document. ( Joshua 22:10,26,34 24:26,27) But written evidence was by no means unknown to the Jews. Joshua set up a stone as an evidence of the allegiance promised by Israel to God. ( Genesis 21:30 31:47,52) The tribes of Reuben and Gad raised an "altar" as a witness to the covenant between themselves and the rest of the nation. Jacob raised a heap of stones, "the heap of witness." as a boundary-mark between himself and Laban. Among people with whom writing is not common the evidence of a transaction is given by some tangible memorial or significant ceremony: Abraham gave seven ewe-lambs to Abimelech as an evidence of his property in the well of Beersheba.

Choir could also be applied the theory that he is the last polo to not completely appear robotic, but this doesn’t explain his lack of goggles. I don’t think Lead is Choir, as other polos in gameplay like Follow who appear to regularly be completely human are shown to instead be pale and mouth-less. Lead is the last individual who isn’t completely a robot. I think that in Dystopia, people have been tinkering to the point of slowly becoming completely machine. Even Lead (the main character) is in the process of becoming more machine than man despite having a regular head. We don’t see other polos as they appear in gameplay but rather as expressionless, pale, cold faces. Now, Dystopia despite being the only version that tells an overarching story, is the most confusing. Probably the only explanation is that the city in Dystopia is different from that of Alive, or at least a nearby expansion/settlement they started working on with a main flagship complex. The only inconsistency noted is that in Sunrise, the large structure that I previously stated would be expanded upon is isolated away from the already futuristic city from Alive. After Alive, the people slowly become cybernetic as they appear as the effects in Sunrise, and eventually completely unrecognizable in Dystopia. This mindset apparently becomes embraced by all. These lyrics suggest that people are consumed by money, and the only escape from this rather greedy world is to embrace technology and become one with it in order to free your mind. However during the third bonus, we see the following lyrics as the Vocal is being equipped with a technological headset.īut you know that the key is not the name,Īnd the money you came for is not a friend,Ĭause only you if you try can free your mind." The different polos in alive are borderline futuristic but are still normal in the sense that they aren’t cyborgs. Many people point out that Alive is a prequel to Dystopia, and I agree, but it is also a prequel to some parts of Sunrise. Now I’d like to discuss version 6, Alive. In the third bonus of Dystopia, the building is a massive pyramid surrounded by a city unlike V3, which means that there must’ve been some expansion, and Dystopia takes place soon after the future era of Sunrise. In both Dystopia and Sunrise, we see a Polo pilot a flying spaceship, and landing in a large complex with a bridge and glowing light. Other things I found is that there is both a tree both Jeevan and Sunrise's third bonus tracks, and is generally associated with prosperous life. Also, one thing to note is that the third bonus in Little Miss also references time, since the vocal's fear of time passing and "the world spinning" are directly stated. The name "Sunrise" itself could be a reference to a new day starting, and the passage of time. The first bonus’s lyrics are about reminiscing of childhood, which makes the vocal appear as young kid (according to the lyrics), as well as referencing adult life. The different 4 classes represent different eras in culture. This is my take on the entirety of the Incredibox lore, or what I think is necessary.Ĭommenting on Sunrise, everything about V3 suggests themes of time progressing. Next is Diabellestarr & Snake-Eye, which is like Adventure Token and Burning Abyss rolled into one. For the TCG especially, many people are pitching it as a Synchro strategy, tuning Level 2s to the Horus monsters, resulting in things like Chengying or Baronne. My verdict? I think Horus as a standalone strategy won’t come into its own until maybe Phantom Nightmare, where it receives a secondary version of King’s Sarcophagus, but as an engine it’s likely to see immediate experimentation. Konami’s marketing of this archetype has been plentiful, too, with Duamutef, Blessing of Horus even being the Sneak Peek card, and much of the press release coverage hyping these cards. This pairs excellently with Volcanic, notably, which can use all three copies of Volcanic Shell as part of this cost to retain as much in-hand advantage as possible. The flagship monster, Imsety, Glory of Horus, sets up their enabler on its own, being King’s Sarcophagus, and from there you can invest up to 3 more cards from hand into being fodder for sticky Level 8 threats. In the OCG, it’s seen play alongside Tearlament, Volcanic, and essentially any strategy not reluctant to dump their hand on bodies. Horus is the next iteration of Eldlich in many ways, with large, sticky threats that benefit most in being the secondary strategy to more combo-oriented decks. I’d like to first touch upon the archetypes introduced in this set, which have become a significant meta share in the OCG - Horus, which vaguely supports Horus the Black Flame Dragon, and Diabellestarr alongside her paired archetype of Snake-Eye. Not since Power of the Elements can it be said that a core set lived up to those expectations while Darkwing Blast had the Bystials & Kashtira Fenrir, and Duelist Nexus capped off the support for Purrely, Age of Overlord, coming October 19th for North America, won’t disappoint. It often comes in waves, with there being a series of middling, largely unmemorable sets, followed by the crash of a potent card pack, where it seems every card within was tailored for competitive duelists. These sets are defined as being big, holding both archetypes and generic staples, and coming out every 3-4 months, but their relative power level can vary dramatically.
